Mathematics

Mathematics at the College follows the strands of number, algebra, measurement, trigonometry, functions and relations, chance and data, and calculus. It aims to develop the mathematical skills and confidence in students appropriate to their level of development. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and to strive for their personal best. The mathematics faculty staff is here to assist students in their studies and students are encouraged to seek help if the need arises.

Equipment

In years 10 to 12 a scientific calculator is required for certain topics. The College office has a supply of calculators which students can purchase for a small fee.
